We are seeking a detail-oriented and people-focused Recruitment and Benefits Coordinator to support two important areas of our company, specifically employee benefits administration and full-cycle recruiting. This role plays a key part in ensuring a positive employee experience from onboarding through ongoing benefits support, while helping us attract and hire high-quality talent. This position requires strong organization, confidentiality and communication skills, combined with the ability to balance transactional accuracy with relationship-building. The position would work closely with both the director of finance and administration and the owners of the company. The hiring wage range is $35.00 per hour to $37.00 per hour.
Benefits Administration (Approximately 50%)
- Administer employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans
- Serve as primary point of contact for employee benefit questions and issue resolution
- Coordinate open enrollment processes, communications, and system updates
- Manage enrollments, changes, terminations, COBRA notifications, and vendor coordination
- Maintain accurate benefit records and ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations (ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA, etc.)
- Reconcile monthly benefit invoices and coordinate with payroll
- Assist with 401(k) administration and employee education
- Support annual benefits review and vendor renewal process
- Maintain benefit documentation and reporting
Talent Acquisition (Approximately 50%)
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried positions
- Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements and sourcing strategies
- Draft and post job descriptions across relevant platforms
- Screen resumes and conduct initial candidate interviews
- Coordinate interviews and manage candidate communications
- Conduct reference checks and background screenings
- Prepare offer letters and support onboarding processes
- Track recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, candidate sources, etc.)
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical roles
- Promote employer brand through professional and engaging candidate experience
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in benefits administration, recruiting, or HR generalist roles
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Working knowledge of employee benefits regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of discretion and confidentiality
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
