Our growing, 62-year-old company seeks a self-motivated, energetic, dedicated sales leader with a 5 plus years proven track record in equipment sales to develop new opportunities to enhance current sales and marketing activities of the company to create future growth. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, you will be responsible to drive revenue through sales of our industry leading KineSpin product line of industrial centrifugal fluid extraction, coating and parts cleaning systems with focus on precision manufacturing, grinding, turning, heading and other closely related markets while closing orders and maintaining strong customer relationships. In addition, you will gain knowledge related to other Kinefac product lines. This is an onsite position at our Worcester facility. The sales engineer will initially engage with our engineers to learn the company’s products and technologies while building up outside sales calls and travel from 10% to 30% over the first year.
Responsibilities
- Prospect and close sales of Kinefac machinery to increase division revenue
- Prospect and build new customer relationships with focus on the precision manufacturing, grinding, turning, coating and other manufacturing industries
- Work closely with prospects to obtain technical details related to their needs and coordinate with Kinefac application and machine engineering
- Participate in technical quote reviews and prepare technical quotation and present to customer
- Update activity within CRM system
- Coordinate customer service requests with KineSpin service technicians and Kinefac engineering
- Provide after sales support and training, as required
- Interact with customers for troubleshooting, maintenance, and machine repair components
- Maintain regular contact with our existing customer base to explore new opportunities
- Work closely with our marketing team to provide outreach topics to enhance sales opportunities
- Provide bi-weekly sales activity report to the Vice President of Sales
- Position is on site except for client travel and trade show support
Qualifications
- 5 plus years’ experience in industrial products selling to the machining industry
- Associate’s degree or equivalent job experience
- Ability to travel up to about 30% of the time
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Able to work in a team environment
- Mechanical Engineering degree a plus
- Strong communication, organizational and PC skills including Microsoft Office (PowerPoint) and CRM software proficiency
- Familiarity with blueprints, schematics and diagrams is a plus
- Brings strong relationships in the precision components, grinding, turning industries a plus
