Kinefac extends a sincere thank you to everyone who visited us at MD&M West, February 3–5 in Anaheim, CA, and stopped by booth #2722. As one of the premier trade shows dedicated exclusively to medical device design and manufacturing, MD&M West continues to be an invaluable event for connecting with engineers and manufacturers focused on precision, compliance, and innovation.
For Kinefac, MD&M West provides the ideal platform to showcase technologies engineered specifically for high-precision medical applications, where accuracy, repeatability, and process control are critical. This year, our team was excited to introduce new advancements within our KineCoil division designed to support tighter tolerances and more efficient validation processes.
Featured innovations included an updated HMI display that enhances usability and operator confidence, along with KineVision, our in-line measurement system developed to improve accuracy while minimizing secondary inspection of non-compliant coils.
We also highlighted long coil support options for applications requiring 10-foot coils or longer, expanding capabilities for medical devices that demand consistent geometry across extended coil lengths.
KineCoil™ systems utilize a deflection coiling process that produces complete coils without the need for secondary operations such as stretching or trimming. This process is well-suited for medical device manufacturing. Our KineCoiler™ and MicroCoiler™ equipment options support wire diameters ranging from .001” to .030”, as well as shaped wire coils for complex applications in minimally invasive devices and miniature medical components.
In addition, the Kinefac 2-die PowerBox KineRoller™ product line, featuring up to 4-axis servo control, continues to be a trusted solution for infeed and throughfeed rolling of threads, knurls and other precision forms required in medical components.
Our application engineering team values the opportunity MD&M West provides to collaborate directly with medical manufacturers, reviewing applications, discussing production challenges, and developing customized rolling or coiling solutions that meet exacting medical standards.
If you have an application you’d like to discuss or would like to continue the conversation started at MD&M West, please contact Rob Karlicek at 508-754-6891 ext. 661.
