This new Kinefac MC-6 FTF NC (H) Kine-Rollerâ
spline rolling system employs numerical
programming for size, rolling feed rate, die speed and part feeding providing the user
with the ultimate
in quick changeover and operational flexibility. The die matching is automatic
through the use of
Kinefac concept die phasing and torque sharing die drives.
The size, rolling feed rate and part feeding are accomplished through
electro-hydraulic positioning
systems. The die speed is controlled through an electronic variable
speed system.
Part straightness and diameter are further stabilized by the use of
restraint ring spindle preloading,
and the initial die step off on the blank assured by driving it in phase
with the dies.
With these unique features, the new MC-6 FTF (H) Kine-Rollerâ
can provide tooth to tooth spacing
error below 25 microns and pitch diameter repeatability within 40 microns on
splines up to 50mm in
diameter with pressure angles from 30°
to 45°.
The use of the Kinefac Three Die System provides
maximum stability for the forced thru feed spline rolling process and
enables the MC-6 system to roll
splines successfully on hollow parts with relatively thin walls.
